Biography
Let the 2023 Beekeeping season begin… so much to do over the coming weeks to make sure our bees are healthy and strong.
The resident Queen in each colony should be starting to lay eggs again as the weather is becoming milder. The worker bee ladies will be so busy cleaning cells and making sure they are hygienically clean for egg laying, a very important job..
Pollen is starting to appear on the gorse and willow here around Muff and Loughanleagh region and soon we shall see dandelions appear in the fields to offer a source of nectar to our bees and other pollinating insects.
May 2023 bee a great year for nature and especially the Muff honeybees.
