Biography

Caroline Clarke is a visual artist from Bailieborough Co. Cavan. She works mainly in acrylic painting and sculpture. As a young adult Caroline emigrated to New York and spent many years submerged in the ever changing art scene that is New York. It is here that she pursued her passion for art and ultimately earned a BFA Degree from Hunter College. Her paintings fall between landscape and abstraction. Much of her work focuses on storytelling and childhood memories. Caroline primarily creates large scale paintings which offers the viewer a chance to step into and explore her work. She is also interested in creating spaces that feel familiar yet question the reality of such spaces. Having moved back to her hometown in recent years she uses her rural surroundings as a backdrop to expressing her unique vision of the world. She is a member of Bailieborough Creative Hub and offers art workshops and events.
